This hack is currently being closed by Microsoft. I have already downloaded and installed the Microsoft KB940510 update on my copy of Vista which closes this activation hole.

See Of course I am sure the hackers will be smart enough not to accept this update but it probably is only a matter of time before Microsoft will make this update a prerequesit of future updates. The Beatles Story 1964 Rar here. Perhaps Vista SP1 will require this update be installed before it will install. One more unrelated thought, I really do not get all the Vista bashing. I have it on two of my computers and it has so many new features that I find make me more productive.
First there is the better networking stack. The Ability to autodetect Wifi access points and automatically reconfigure the firewall differently depending on which access point I am using. Than there is the better Windows explorer, Better search, things like groups and stacks, highly configurable columns in the details view to allow access to almost any metatag data, great for searching and organizing my podcasts and music in explorer. The slower file copying and deleting has been about the only downside but Vista SP1 should fix that. I also like that the file copy over network shares is now much smarter. If the network dies in the middle of a mass copy of files it simply asks to retry and does not make you start over, It also does the same when doing multiple deletes and one fails due to a filelock you can still continue and delete the rest of the files.
Then there is the more robust security of Vista with technology such as UAC, Vista IE7 protected mode, Memory Address Randomization, and a two way capable firewall built in(The firewall user interface could use some improvment as using the full two way firewall abilities is not for novice). I just think some people are not exploring all that Vista has to offer, Sure there are some driver and software incompatabilities that prevent some people from upgrading but I have managed to upgrade with only a few hardware driver issues such as a third party manufacturer refusing to provide a Vista driver.
The device is 3 years old so probably it was time to upgrade anyway. Anyone who remembers the move to XP from WinME,Win98se will remember the same issue of third party drivers not being provided or poorly written Win2000 drivers that only partially supported WinXP until the third parties finally started to lose business because they where not providing drivers for older hardware. I better stop my reply as it is way too long but when I get going I do have trouble stoppping.
The Vista bashing is really over the top, and simply tells me that the techno-elites (read that as tech bloggers, podcasters, column writers, etc.) are marching in lockstep without regard to actual reality. I guess people just figure Microsoft makes so much money that they are fair game no matter the baseless charge. Would that we all made the money this so-called 'failure' of an operating system makes. It's patently absurd for it to be knocked as it is by those supposedly in the know.
